Quick Answer

Shadow Legion is an alliance defence event. Prepare the participating cities, agree reinforcement priorities and stay available for the waves your alliance is trying to survive. Your strongest march is not useful to a struggling ally if it is still returning from a distant resource node.

Officers should choose a difficulty the alliance can support with actual attendance. Total alliance power is a poor substitute for players being online and ready.

Before Leadership Starts

Check the current event's difficulty, target rules, wave information and reward conditions. Recall the marches needed for defence, clear hospital space and inspect the city's defending commanders. Make sure newer members know when to ask for reinforcement.

The Shadow Legion reference describes attacks from Dark Fortresses and alliance defence/scoring. Use the event panel for current wave counts, targeting and failure conditions rather than turning an old schedule into a permanent rule.

Give the Alliance a Simple Plan

Role Job
Event officer Choose the time/difficulty and call upcoming pressure
Strong defenders Keep the intended garrison setup active and identify spare reinforcement capacity
Reinforcement players Send the requested troop type to the agreed city before the attack arrives
Newer accounts Report incoming pressure early and avoid silently failing a wave

Publish one place for calls. If half the alliance reads game chat and the other half waits for a different channel, reinforcements arrive late despite plenty of available troops.

Reinforce Before the Crisis

Travel time is part of the defence. If two cities both need help, compare the attack timing, distance and the defenders already inside. Sending everything to the first name in chat can leave the more urgent target uncovered.

Inspect the reinforced city's lead commander and troop requirements. Do not assume your own field primary becomes the active garrison commander merely because your march is strong. Coordination determines which defensive setup is actually used.

Points Are Not the Whole Decision

Read whether a reward depends on personal participation, alliance progress or the current stage. Sending unnecessary reinforcements solely to chase a personal score can weaken the collective result if a different city needs them.

For a developing alliance, repeatable completion at a manageable difficulty can be more valuable than repeatedly failing an ambitious one. Increase difficulty after understanding which waves caused losses and whether attendance or account strength was the bottleneck.

After the Event

Check rewards and hospital status before sending everything back to routine work. Officers should note the cities that needed help, the wave where support broke down and which reinforcements arrived too late.

Change one part of the next plan: an earlier start announcement, a stronger garrison assignment or a nearer reinforcement group. More power is useful, but clear timing can fix a failure without anyone buying another commander.

Is my best field pair always my best defence pair?

No. Garrison skill conditions and the actual defending role matter. Use the appropriate defensive setup and follow the alliance plan rather than assuming a high field tier rating applies everywhere.
