Resources hub · Gathering commanders

Quick Answer

A farm is a second character built to gather resources and send them to your main. Put it in the right kingdom, develop its gathering marches and use the Trading Post, available from City Hall 10. Both characters must be in the same alliance when sending resource assistance.

Start with one farm you can keep busy. A second neglected farm is another set of empty gathering queues, not extra income.

Set Up the Character in the Right Place

Check the game's character-management options on your linked account before creating a separate login. Choose the intended kingdom at creation when the game permits it. If you need to move a character, confirm its actual destination eligibility first; owning a Beginner's Teleport or passports does not make every kingdom available. See migration requirements.

Join an active alliance that accepts farms. A dedicated farm alliance can provide territory and help, but the farm must join the same alliance as the receiving main for the transfer itself. Arrange that access before stockpiling resources you cannot yet send.

Upgrade for Output

Milestone Why it matters What to build alongside it
City Hall 10 Access to the Trading Post Its Goldmine prerequisite and enough troops to gather
City Hall 11 Third dispatch queue Another usable gathering pair
City Hall 17 Fourth dispatch queue Gathering research, load and a better Trading Post
City Hall 22 Fifth dispatch queue Only push when you can afford the build and keep that extra march working

City Hall 17 is a useful stopping point to evaluate the farm. If four marches already spend hours idle, the fifth queue will not solve the problem. Improve your login routine before committing the resources for City Hall 22.

Use gathering commanders such as Constance, Sarka, Gaius Marius and Centurion as your roster allows. Their gathering skills matter as well as the primary's talents. Spend the appropriate low-rarity or commander-specific sculptures deliberately; universal legendary sculptures are too valuable to use casually on a gathering project.

What Actually Arrives After Tax?

The Trading Post's tax falls as it levels. These reference levels make the difference easy to see:

Trading Post Tax Net from 1,000,000 resources sent, across enough trips
1 35% 650,000
10 26% 740,000
15 21% 790,000
17 19% 810,000
22 14% 860,000
25 8% 920,000

The Trading Post reference lists the building's capacity and tax. This example is total shipment value, not a claim that a level-one post can move a million in one trip. Confirm the sending screen's current capacity and received amount.

For budgeting, net received = amount sent × (1 − tax rate). At 19% tax, sending ten million in enough trips delivers 8.1 million. To deliver a target amount, divide that target by 0.81 and allow for the game's rounding.

An upgrade saves tax on future transfers, but costs resources now. Compare the saving on your expected volume with the cost of the required building chain. Do not push Trading Post 25 simply because its percentage looks better.

A Routine You Can Maintain

On login, collect completed gathering marches, claim useful daily rewards, send assistance if needed and dispatch the marches again. Before logging out for a long break, choose nodes that keep them occupied. Finish nodes rather than leaving scraps for the next governor.

Gather the resource your main will need next. An infantry-focused account approaching a large build can be short of stone even while food looks healthy. The main's upgrade and healing plan should set the farm's gathering priorities.

Keep enough troops for load and enough reserves to operate safely. Alliance territory does not make a city immune to attack. During war, follow your kingdom's farm rules, protect exposed resources and use the appropriate shield or relocation when needed.

FAQ

Why can I not send resources?

Check the Trading Post, alliance membership, available march queue and current assistance screen. A farm in a separate farm alliance must join the receiving character's alliance first.

Is there a universal ten-million daily limit?

Do not budget around that unsourced figure. Read any restriction shown on your current assistance screen; transport capacity per trip is a separate limit.

Do I need a separate login?

Not necessarily. Use the character-management options available on your linked account and confirm the kingdom's creation limits.

How many farms should I run?

Enough that you can keep their marches working without turning the game into account switching. Start with one and measure the resources that actually reach your main.
